Saro & Zilla say hello |
|
Hello, dear. You look like a lovely person. Have you brought me any snacks? No? Well, that's alright. Perhaps you'd like to pet me. That would be nice, too.
My name is Saro. I have lived with Jenny practically forever. My name is actually short for "Pretty Saro"... no doubt she named me that because of my classically pear-shaped figure. I am quite statuesque; one might even say Rubenesque.
Recently two rambunctious young cats moved into the house, and now behave as if they own the place... But they know enough to stay out of my special napping spots. |
|
This is my dear friend Zilla. She also has been here nearly forever. But over the past several years she began to have more and more problems with the two concepts of "cat-box" and "not a cat-box." In fact, I seem to recall that shortly after Zilla peed on the kitchen counter, Jenny gave her a little house of her own, on the front porch. It has a lovely heated bed. But Zilla doesn't come indoors anymore. | |
Zilla is a sweet creature, but not the brightest cat you'll ever meet. For one thing, every sentence she speaks ends with a question-mark; "prrrrrrt? prrrrrt? feed me? pet me?" And when she is excited, (which is almost always), she spins in harebrained circles in an attempt to see everything at once. But she is a dear, and I do sometimes miss having her in the house.
